Worth the read from a current client…

“Some of you may know and some of you may not know this….At the beginning of August I decided I needed to make a change and get help with my nutrition.  I had tried Weight Watchers awhile back and lost 60lbs and gained it all back a few years ago I tried Optivia lost a bunch but again gained the weight back.  I decided I needed to do a life changing method that would teach me how to count calories and make better nutrition choices that I can stick to and still be able to eat what I want.  I reached out to a nutrition coach that I had met when I joined a walking group Tanner Sundt and I am sure glad that I did.  Even though I had surgery right after starting to work with him and not able to move around much I am still down my first 20lbs.  Losing weight doesn’t have to be eating those foods from weight loss plans such as weight watchers or Optivia it’s about eating the right amount of calories right from my own kitchen.  Counting the Calories, looking at the macros and making better choices. Yes i still eat ice cream in fact I have had hot fudge sundaes from DQ but I dont eat them every day and I only eat them when I have calories left in the day to do so and only if I have had enough protein for my body that day. Eating healthier gives me more energy, better sleep and overall just makes me feel better.  Going to the gym gets me more physical fit and helps me just feel better.  So if you think you can’t lose weight because you can’t move around thats not the truth, you just need to make the right choices don’t think sitting around drinking alcohol and eating junk is going to get you there unless you count those calories and only consume 1500 calories. I sat around did not much of anything  but watch TV and my knee exercises. I chose to measure my portions, eat high protein foods (greek yogurt, eggs, chicken) count my calories and stay within my calorie goal. During those 6 weeks i lost 14lbs. 

I still have a long ways to go until I hit my goal weigh but as long as I stay positive and keep making the choices I have been making i know i will get there. There are struggles but there is struggles with everything in life. It’s about staying positive and learning to make the right decisions and staying strong.
